Privacy & Data

Your family's privacy is central to how BabaPilot is built. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have. BabaPilot is operated by ECADEL GROUP LIMITED and aligns with the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

What we collect

Your email address; the journey details you provide (your name, your partner's name, the due date, your situation and goals); the appointments, tasks, and notes you create; and the questions you ask BabaPilot. We collect only what is needed to deliver your daily brief and tools.

How we use it

To generate your personalised brief, answer your questions, send your magic-link sign-in and notifications, and improve safety. Your conversations are used to serve you — never sold.

Consent

You consent to this processing when you create an account and complete onboarding. Consent is recorded and versioned. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account, which removes your personal data.

AI processing

BabaPilot uses Anthropic's Claude models to generate guidance. Relevant context (such as your pregnancy week and your partner's first name) is sent to generate a response. We do not send your email or contact details to the model. A deterministic safety check runs before every AI response.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data — in-app, by yourself, at any time. Open your profile page and use the “Your data” card to download a full JSON export of everything we hold for your family, or to permanently delete your account. Deletion is irreversible and cascades to every record tied to your family (journey, briefs, conversations, appointments, tasks, moments, notifications, safety events). Where your data lives

BabaPilot data is stored on encrypted Postgres infrastructure hosted in the EU (Hostinger, Ireland region). Nightly database backups are retained for 14 days. Off-host backups, where enabled, are stored in the same jurisdiction. Anthropic processes AI prompts on US infrastructure under a data-processing agreement; prompts and responses are not used to train their models.

Security

Data is stored on secured infrastructure with encrypted transport (HTTPS). Access tokens are never logged. We treat the hosting environment as a first-class security surface.
